KEY HIGHLIGHTS

Event Participation

At TCO, we believe in regular participation in various activities such as marathons and sports events. Not only do these activies give our Challengers a platform to showcase their capabilities and overcome their challenges, but they are also a great way to interact with other members of the community and learn about their experiences.

Fight for Inclusivity

Due to TCO's efforts in bringing inclusivity for the disabled members of the community, multiple marathons, which previously only had the 2 km category for PwDs, have started letting Challengers take part in the 5, 10 and 20 km categories too. This has provided a morale boost to a lot of members of the community.

SwachhAbility Movement

As part of SwatchhAbility Run, we have covered 18 cities in 3 years. 2016 was targered for Northern India where 7 cities were covered in 7 days. 2017 was for Southern India, where 5 cities were covered in 7 days. In 2018, we focused on Western India, where 5 cities were covered in 7 days. We also attended a special drive held in Kanpur in Dec 2018. For more information, please visit the SwatchhAbility Run website.

BATP Support

Looking at the untapped potential for India to excel at the Paraolympics and the will of our Challengers, we at TCO have launched the Budding Athlete Training Program (BATP), to help these people reach the stage and make our nation proud. As a part of the same, Himanshu, an amputee and a shotputter, is currently being supported under this program.

Support for Day-to-Day Life

Our goal and commitment at TCO is to help the Challengers overcome the difficulties in life that they might face due to their disabilies. As such, we provide our Challengers with regular details about the latest in the world of prosthetics, information related to new or upcoming job offers and so on. We also help them with upskilling programs like a 3-month accountancy certification and personality development courses.

Never Say Die Series

Never Say Die is an interview series started by our founders in an effort to showcase the real life stories of Army veterans, disabled boarded out cadets and their #NeverSayDie attitude towards handling real life challenges. Using this, we aim to inspire the public to take their lives in their hands, especially on the impact of COVID. For more information, please visit this link.
